With exclusive access to 5000+ acres of private CRP and other crop lands the Ring Neck Resort is nothing short of a hunter’s paradise. These acres of CRP grasses, cropland, and food plots are all well managed year around to ensure come fall our hunters see healthy populations of wild Pheasants and even some occasional sharp-tail grouse. With accommodations for up to 48 hunters at a time, the Ring Neck Resort is great for groups of all sizes.

North Dakota Waterfowl/Upland Hunting Combo
Located in the heart of the famed “Prairie Pot Hole Region” of North Dakota. We have a unique opportunity for hunters to experience some amazing upland hunting as well as outstanding waterfowl hunting for multiple species ducks, Canada geese and snow geese in North Dakota. North Dakota offers some amazing sights throughout the fall as it becomes home to thousands of various waterfowl as they make their way south for the winter.

What To Expect On Your Combo Hunt!
On our Combo hunts we will typically hunt waterfowl in the mornings and upland birds during the afternoon. There may be times that this gets switched around weather permitting. After our morning duck/goose hunt we will head back to the lodge for a quick lunch. We will then head back out to the field about 1 pm and hunt until Dark, until our hunters are tired, or until limits are reached. We then head back and as our staff processes your birds you will enjoy happy hour with some hors d ‘oeuvres as you reminisce on the day’s events. Following happy hour, you will cap the day off with one of our signature suppers and then its time sit back and enjoy all the amenities of our beautiful lodge.
Upland Only Package
All of our packages include your meals, lodging, alcohol, bird cleaning and shells. ND Pheasant Hunt Packages do not include hunting license ($122.00)
Dates: Tentatively the Second Saturday of October-December 1st
- Minimum group size to book: 1 person
- Groups of 6+ will hunt as private group
- Large groups are welcome as we can accommodate up to 48 hunters at a time
- Limits: 3 Pheasants/Day with a 4-day possession limit

A Typical Day at the Ring Neck Resort
A typical morning will start with breakfast served from 7 am-8 am. After breakfast we will break out into our groups and head out for the hunt. We will typically hunt until about 11:30 and then head back to the lodge for a quick lunch. If limits of pheasants were not taken in the morning, we will then head back out to the field about 1 pm and hunt until Dark, until our hunters are tired, or until limits are reached. We then head back and as our staff processes your birds you will enjoy happy hour with some hors d ‘oeuvres as you reminisce on the days events. Following happy hour, you will cap the day off with one of our signature suppers and then its time sit back and enjoy all the amenities of our beautiful lodge.
At the Ring Neck Resort, we have a wide range of places with pheasants. Depending on the capabilities of each hunter we will be hunting a variety of CRP Grasses, food plots, tree rows, or slough grasses.
Things to Bring:
- Blaze Orange Vest
- Walking Boots (Leather)
- Rubber Boots (in the case of wet weather)
- Shot Gun (Must be plugged to hold no more than 3 shells
- Clothing for all weather (Check forecast for your hunt dates)
- Shooting Glasses/Eye Protection
- Brush Resistant Pants/Upland Pants
- If bringing a dog be sure to have (food, collars, and all other necessities)
- Camera

Hunt Our Preserve

The Ring Neck Resort also has a preserve license for a portion of our property. For those that may shoot their limit of pheasants in the morning and want to continue to hunt this is a great opportunity to enjoy additional hunting in the afternoon.
Daily Preserve Fee: $150 (provides access to the preserve)
Cost of Birds:
- Pheasants: $30/Released birds
- Quail: $12/Released Bird
- There is no possession limit or daily bag limit on birds shot on preserve land.
Rustic Lodging

Relaxation and Fun at this Amazing Lodge
Our large and cozy lodge was created with the great outdoors in mind, from the rustic barn we started from to the lodge motif inside; you will feel right at home here on the prairie. The view from the back deck looks across grasslands and water where you're able to witness wildlife while enjoying your morning coffee. In the evenings you will be able to relax around our bonfire while sharing stories about the day's hunt.
