While we offer incredible pheasant hunting, we also have world-class waterfowl hunting in our area.  North Dakota is well known throughout the flyways as being the heartland of duck and goose production.  Coupled with migrants, this area holds large numbers of waterfowl in the fall!

North Dakota Waterfowl Hunting

At the Ring Neck Resort, we have access to a lot of solid waterfowl hunting ground in our area.  These fields load up with ducks and geese throughout the fall, giving our hunters ample opportunities afield.


Things to Bring:

  • Camouflage Clothing (preferably warm)
  • Warm Boots
  • Rubber Boots (in the case of wet weather)
  • Shot Gun (Must be plugged to hold no more than 3 shells
  • Inner Clothing for all weather (Check forecast for your hunt dates)
  • If bringing a dog be sure to have (food, collars, and all other necessities)
  • Camera

What Is a Typical Day With Our Waterfowl Hunting Guide?

On our Combo waterfowl/pheasant hunts we will typically hunt waterfowl in the morning and upland birds in the afternoon.


There may be times that this gets switched around weather permitting. After our morning duck/goose hunt, we will head back to the lodge for a quick lunch before heading out to hunt pheasants.


We will then head back out around 1 pm and hunt upland until the group has had enough, or a limit is reached.


After that, we clean all of your birds while you have a cocktail and appetizers.  Following will be a fantastic supper as you relax in our comfortable hunting lodge.

WAterfowl / UPland Hunting Combo Pricing


The vast majority of our hunting groups come for the upland/waterfowl combo.  If you JUST want waterfowl hunting, please contact us to arrange.


All of our combo hunting packages include your meals, lodging, alcohol, bird cleaning and shells. Our hunts are in North Dakota and do not include your pheasant hunting license ($122.00) or your waterfowl hunting license ($100.00)


Hunting Dates: Tentatively the Second Saturday of October-December 1st


Minimum group size to book: 1 person - Groups of 6+ will hunt as private group

Large groups are welcome as we can accommodate up to 48 hunters at a time


Waterfowl Limits: We can have a duck and goose limit in possession of the hunt.
